Lawrence Joseph White

Lawrence Joseph White, age 75, of Fayetteville passed away on September 21, 2026. Born in Montgomery, WV, he was a son of the late Lawrence Charles and Betty June Lowe White.

Larry was a graduate of Montgomery High School and earned two degrees from the West Virginia Institute of Technology: an Associate of Science in Electrical Engineering Technology and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration.

Combining his technical skills with a sharp eye for financial management, Larry built a distinguished, multi-decade career across information technology, accounting, and operations. He dedicated many years to the Long-Airdox Company in Oak Hill, rising through several key leadership roles including Systems Analyst, Manager of Information Systems, Cost Accounting Manager, and Assistant Controller. He later served as Director of Information Technology for Mattress Warehouse, and contributed his expertise in financial and purchasing management to Bucci Industries USA, and Barnhardt Manufacturing.

Beyond his professional accomplishments, Larry was an avid organizer and participant in online gaming communities, particularly the Vietcong Online Community. His leadership and passion connected players across South America, Europe, and around the globe. Larry enjoyed sports and was a fan of rock music, especially the group "The Warning." Above all else, Larry was an extraordinary father who was always there for his kids, no matter what. His steady presence, encouragement, and unconditional support in every aspect of their lives were the absolute foundation of his family.

He is survived by his wife, Cynthia L. White, and his two children, L.J. White and Ava White.

Larry leaves behind a close-knit family, including his brothers Steven Michael White, Frank Anthony White, John Amelio White (Amy), William Fredrick White (Jennifer), James Richard White (Kim), and Charles Clifford White (Amy), as well as his sisters Mary Lorena White Young (Kenny), Sherry Lynn White Hawkins (Larry), Cynthia Marie White Kelly, and Beverly Ann White Stafford (Harry). His familial bonds were a source of great pride and joy throughout his life. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Rhonda Kaye White.

A Celebration of Life in honor of Lawrence Joseph White will be held on September 26, 2026, at 1:00 PM in the New River Gorge Funeral Service Chapel.
