Freda Mae Bostic

Freda Mae Bostic, age 71, of Fayetteville passed away on September 29, 2026 at her residence.

Born in Ansted, WV, she was a daughter of the late Joseph Edward Ellison and Helen Strickland Ellison.

Freda enjoyed fishing, cooking, and spending time with her family and friends.

Survivors include her two sons, Kenneth Bibb and Kevin Bibb; two grandchildren: Desiree Bibb and Samantha Bibb; three great-grandchildren; three brothers: James Ellison (Kathy), Bobby Ellison (Brenda), and Glen Ellison (Corrine); two sisters: Ruth Underwood (Frank) and Mary Skaggs. Freda is also survived by her "partner-in-crime," Paul Swink and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by two brothers: Eddie Ellison and Bill Ellison and one sister, Christine Backus.

The family will receive friends at 11:00 am Tuesday October 6, 2026 in the chapel of New River Gorge Funeral Service, 350 W. Maple Avenue, Fayetteville. The funeral service will immediately follow at 12:00 noon, conducted by Pastor Lonnie Strickland.
